Rev Billy DVD release / NY Post
Last Christmas, the anti-shopping indie "What Would Jesus Buy?" made this reporter's day. Entire season, really. So a DVD packed with more manic "Shopocalypse" goodness is a welcome release.The documentary follows local performer Reverend Billy (Bill Talen) and his Church of Stop Shopping gospel choir as they travel around the country in the weeks before Christmas, putting on faux-evangelical shows to - as Rev. Billy puts it - "cast out the demons" at the cash register. (more at nypost.com)

Valenti: Oh, yeah. Apparently she discovered it when she was on an airplane and her steward showed her pictures of him dressed as her in platform boots. She’s commented on it in interviews, and seems very flattered by it. She’s even given us Stevie memorabilia to auction off.
Dynell: On the other hand, Lindsey Buckingham has called us a bunch of freaks. He seems really bothered by it.
Valenti: Oh, that’s just because there’s no Night of a Thousand Lindseys.

Sia was at Yelle...
via Blackbook.com:There we were, perched atop the balcony inside the Highline Ballroom waiting for Yelle to take the stage—which didn’t happen until 1:30 a.m.—when our friend picked out a bleach-blonde dancer amidst the mass and said, “Isn’t that Sia?”
We occupied the next thirty minutes by staring at the dancer with squinted eyes, while she cavorted frenetically to classic hits from classic dance acts like Cassius and Daft Punk.
