Lake Trout's Only Three Shows For 2007
The talented dudes from Lake Trout went on a hiatus of sorts in 2007. The band members were not sitting around watching reruns of Home Improvement, as they were all busy with various side projects, including a sweet gig as the live band portion of UNKLE's recent North American tour.
The entire band happened to be back in the US this month, so they are taking advantage of that by performing three shows this month. If you've been missing Lake Trout, this is your only chance this year to catch them live. Speaking of live shows, we're not too far away from their upcoming live album, which was recorded last winter. It looks like we'll finally get our hands on that this coming spring.
Also, if you'd like a few free live instrumental tracks, head over to the band's official website. The songs were previously only available on the UK bonus disc from their most recent album, Not Them You.

Simple Plan / Free Event!
On Dec 18th we'll be taping a special show for a New Years Eve broadcast on YouTube. Admission is totally FREE; All you have to do is RSVP here.Also we've got some very special guests appearing; but we have to keep them under wraps. The only hint we can give you is that they're well known but completely different musically from Simple Plan. So it'll be an interesting bill for sure.

Hot Rod Circuit - Final NY show!

It was great to end on a high note with a totally sold out night; and those in attendance made it really special by singing along to every word. Probably their best NYC show ever; but the last.

Blowoff
Last night's NYC Blowoff was even better than the last one, as positive word of mouth from October's event brought in a huge crowd, causing a waiting line outside the Highline Ballroom and lines almost as long inside at the coat check and restrooms. Congrats to Bob Mould and Rich Morel for creating what will surely be a long-running Manhattan must-do.
The high point of the night was DJ Rich Morel debuting his latest collaboration with Cyndi Lauper, Same Ol' Fuckin' Story, during which Cyndi joined Rich in the DJ booth, prompting a rush of fans brandishing cell-cams. Big fun! (continue at joemygod.com)

Hot Chip have announced a few live dates in the U.S. come February, and, well, that's just it. There are only a few; a couple, in fact. Two. One in New York, and one in Los Angeles, and nary a one in between. True, they're special intimate shows that will find the band giving a few lucky listeners the skinny on just what they Made in the Dark of the studio for their forthcoming LP (due February 5 in the UK and February 6 in the U.S. from Astralwerks).
