2K Sports, home to video games such as NBA and MLB 2K, is launching the All Pro Tour with DJ Z-Trip in order to promote their new game, All-Pro Football 2K8. The tour will accompany the game’s soundtrack, which features music by Aceyalone, Gift of Gab, M-1 of dead prez and Rakim. The aforementioned MCs will join Z-Trip on the All Pro Tour, but select dates for Rakim and M-1’s appearances have not been released yet. “It’s rare when an artist can design an original soundtrack that integrates seamlessly into a video game and then transition that to a live setting,” says Tim Rosa, 2K Sport’s Director of Brand and Lifestyle Marketing. “DJ Z-Trip has accomplished this feat, so we’re excited to introduce his live mix show with various musicians and emcees from the soundtrack coupled with a live VJ kicking out visuals — this is going to be a sick show.”
